Santa’s Elves Sing-Along - New to this year’s Toronto Christmas Market, children and adults alike will delight in the presentation of a daily interactive stage show Santa’s Elves Sing- Along. A performance exclusive to the Toronto Christmas Market, this show will have visitors out of their seats as they sing and dance along to holiday classics performed by Santa’s favourite elves – Eve and Eloise. Noted by the Miami Herald for possessing “a superb voice capable of just about everything,” Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman has emerged as one of the most magnificent performers and vibrant personalities of the day.  Gifted with a voluptuous voice and a sovereign stage presence far beyond her years, she has graced concert halls around the world.

Billions of televisions viewers from around the globe heard the lauded soprano’s epic   performance of the Olympic Hymn, during the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 

We are thrilled to have her open the 2012 Toronto Christmas Market with a programme of beautiful Christmas Classics, accompanied by Aaron Davis on Piano.

Salvation Army Christmas Brass Ensemble – enjoy a Christmas Tradition with this special performance of Christmas Favourites and Traditional Carols.

Neverest
A rare mix of raw talent, finely honed musical chops and unrelenting drive, Neverest approach every aspect of their craft with single-minded dedication.  A seamless fusion of hard rock, R&B and pop – they have been attracting a great deal of attention, having recently completed a nationwide tour with Stereos, as well as supporting the Canadian dates of the highly successful NKOTBSB (Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block) tour.  We are thrilled to have them join us at the Toronto Christmas Market, where in addition to performing their hit single “About Us”, the audience can expect their unique take on a few Christmas Classics.

Toronto Welcomes the Arrival of St Nicholas - Arriving on a White Horse accompanied by his costumed attendants, St Nicholas will make his way to the stage.  He will then open his ‘Big Red Book’ and the gathered children will learn who has been good all year before he leads everyone in songs and stories.  Presented in association with the Community Folk Arts Council of Toronto

Royal Wood
For singer-songwriter, arranger and producer, Royal Wood, the last few years has been a road of accolades and accomplishments. In 2008, Royal was crowned Songwriter of the Year by iTunes and in 2011 his album The Waiting earned a Juno Award nomination for Songwriter of the Year --further establishing him among the elite of Canadian songwriting.   Through word of mouth and constant touring, he continues to win fans through the intimate connection only a truly great songwriter and artist can make with his audience.  Performing songs from his latest release We Were Born To Glory, as well as a few Christmas favourites, the Toronto Christmas Market audience will be in afor a very special concert.

Kira Isabella has a decade of experience under her belt performing her brand of up- tempo country music across Canada - an impressive feat since she is just barely 19.  She has been unstoppable since her first recital at the age of seven.  Her hard work was rewarded in the fall of 2012 with a Canadian Country Music Award for Rising Star - a highlight for the young songstress, and solidified Kira’s arrival on the country music scene. Kira was added as support for dates on Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour just in time for her debut album release Love Me Like That.   Her charming stage presence, bubbly personality and natural talents for belting out any song will be on  display during her special concert at the Toronto Christmas Market.

Arkan Ukrainian Dance Company – enjoy high energy performances of Ukrainian Dance by this exciting Dance Company. Presented in association with the Community Folk Arts Council of Toronto


World Caroling Challenge
Join us for the Mill Street World Caroling Challenge at the Lowe's Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District. Mill Street will hand out candle holders and reusable LED candles and will donate $1 to Daily Bread Food Bank for every person that participates. Come join us!

Jarvis Church and Soul Station
Jarvis Church has worn many different hats with distinction over his fascinatingly varied and highly successful musical career.  He first came to prominence as the frontman for The Philosopher Kings, the ground-breaking R&B-rooted pop group that became very popular in Canada in the 1990's, and who broke the Soul barrier on Canadian pop radio.   Jarvis Church’s latest project The Soul Station, celebrates the great vintage era of Soul Music.  His natural and compelling performance style will be showcased through stirring live performances of great Soul Classics as well as his own original songs and a soulful take on a few Christmas songs.   Toronto Christmas Market audiences will be in for a huge treat!

La Chorale Francophone de la region de York – appealing to Francophones and Francophiles alike this dynamic community choir will perform songs of the season.  The Choir prides itself in allowing the entire community to appreciate French music and culture.

Sankta Lucia Celebration   -    The Swedish tradition of Saint Lucia, marks the beginning of the Christmas season and symbolizes the return of lighter days.  Sankta Lucia is a shining angel illuminating the way to the Christmas season. The tradition is marked by a procession of children lead by Saint Lucia, a girl dressed in a long white gown with a red sash and a crown of candles followed by the performance of traditional Christmas songs. Presented by the Swedish School of Halton.

Suzie McNeil
A gifted performer - Suzie was first introduced to the world stage as the last woman standing in the 2005 CBS hit reality series Rockstar:INXS  and proclaimed by INXS as the best vocalist in the competition’.  Her performance at the Toronto Christmas Market will bring her powerful and expressive voice to our stage when she performs hits from her 3 successful albums as well as her own unique take on some Christmas classics.

Sean will showcase his heartfelt soulful style on the stage at the Toronto Christmas Market with his performance of classic hits and Christmas favourites.

Toronto Beaches Children’s Chorus – Enjoy the beautiful voices of The Toronto Beaches Children’s Chorus as they share the festive season on song, including some well known favourites.  The Cantabile Chorus, ages 8-10 will perform at 11:00am and The Chamber Choir, ages 11-15 will perform at 1:00pm.

Vychodna Slovak Dancers –  performances of Traditional Slovakian Folk Dancers presented by this award winning Folklore Ensemble. Presented in association with the Community Folk Arts Council of Toronto.

Alpine Dancers – performances of Bavarian and Austrian Schuhplattler (Folk Dances) presented by this world travelled group based in Kitchener Ontario.

Randolph Glee Choir – enjoy a high energy Christmas performance by this audition-based youth Show Choir.  Part of the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts Kids Program, participants create performance-geared songs while learning essential life skills like teamwork, cooperation and engaging in physical activity. 

Matt Dusk
There are swingers and then there is Matt Dusk - a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and fervent jazz-pop musicologist who has been thrilling audiences world-wide with his interpretations of the Great American standards as well as his own creations.  No doubt his concert at the Toronto Christmas Market will also include a few jazz interpretations of great Christmas classics.

You can also come and experience a full concert when the choir presents their 17th annual Christmas concert on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 8 p.m. Saint Thomas's Church, 383 Huron Street, Toronto

Steven Taetz – Singer/Songwriter Steven Taetz has released chart-topping dance singles around the world including club anthem “Drive” with Juno-nominated artist Roberta Harrison (Wild Strawberries), signed and supported by Madonna's go-to producer DJ Paul Oakenfold.  In a return to his Calgary roots, Steven recently co-wrote songs with a leading artist from each province across Canada for his solo folk-pop acoustic album coming in 2013. His special performance at the Toronto Christmas Market will include original work as well as his interpretation of seasonal classics. Steven previously performed in Carnegie Hall, Toronto's Rogers Centre, national festivals and noted events.

Hannaford Youth Band – Traditional Christmas Favourites performed by this awarding winning, Toronto Based Brass Band. 

Young Centre City Choir -  Enjoy classic Christmas carols sung in four-part harmony by the Young Centre’s non-auditioned community choir, led by John Millard, Gregory Oh,  Alex Samaras and Patricia O’Callaghan.

Aradia Ensemble Choir – performances of Traditional Christmas Carols, with the singers from Toronto’s leading Baroque Ensemble.
