Noted by the Miami Herald for possessing “a superb voice capable of just about everything,” Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman has emerged as one of the most magnificent performers and vibrant personalities of the day.  Gifted with a voluptuous voice and a sovereign stage presence far beyond her years, she has graced concert halls around the world.

Billions of televisions viewers from around the globe heard the lauded soprano’s epic   performance of the Olympic Hymn, during the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 

We are thrilled to have her open the 2012 Toronto Christmas Market with a programme of beautiful Christmas Classics, accompanied by Aaron Davis on Piano.

For singer-songwriter, arranger and producer, Royal Wood, the last few years has been a road of accolades and accomplishments. In 2008, Royal was crowned Songwriter of the Year by iTunes and in 2011 his album The Waiting earned a Juno Award nomination for Songwriter of the Year --further establishing him among the elite of Canadian songwriting.   Through word of mouth and constant touring, he continues to win fans through the intimate connection only a truly great songwriter and artist can make with his audience.  Performing songs from his latest release We Were Born To Glory, as well as a few Christmas favourites, the Toronto Christmas Market audience will be in afor a very special concert.

Kira IsabellaKira Isabella has a decade of experience under her belt performing her brand of up- tempo country music across Canada - an impressive feat since she is just barely 19.  She has been unstoppable since her first recital at the age of seven.  Her hard work was rewarded in the fall of 2012 with a Canadian Country Music Award for Rising Star - a highlight for the young songstress, and solidified Kira’s arrival on the country music scene. Kira was added as support for dates on Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour just in time for her debut album release Love Me Like That.   Her charming stage presence, bubbly personality and natural talents for belting out any song will be on  display during her special concert at the Toronto Christmas Market.

Jarvis ChurchJarvis Church has worn many different hats with distinction over his fascinatingly varied and highly successful musical career.  He first came to prominence as the frontman for The Philosopher Kings, the ground-breaking R&B-rooted pop group that became very popular in Canada in the 1990's, and who broke the Soul barrier on Canadian pop radio.   Jarvis Church’s latest project The Soul Station, celebrates the great vintage era of Soul Music.  His natural and compelling performance style will be showcased through stirring live performances of great Soul Classics as well as his own original songs and a soulful take on a few Christmas songs.   Toronto Christmas Market audiences will be in for a huge treat!

Sankta Lucia Celebration   -    The Swedish tradition of Saint Lucia, marks the beginning of the Christmas season and symbolizes the return of lighter days.  Sankta Lucia is a shining angel illuminating the way to the Christmas season. The tradition is marked by a procession of children lead by Saint Lucia, a girl dressed in a long white gown with a red sash and a crown of candles followed by the performance of traditional Christmas songs. Presented by the Swedish School of Halton.

There are swingers and then there is Matt Dusk - a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and fervent jazz-pop musicologist who has been thrilling audiences world-wide with his interpretations of the Great American standards as well as his own creations.  No doubt his concert at the Toronto Christmas Market will also include a few jazz interpretations of great Christmas classics.

Steven Taetz – Singer/Songwriter Steven Taetz has released chart-topping dance singles around the world including club anthem “Drive” with Juno-nominated artist Roberta Harrison (Wild Strawberries), signed and supported by Madonna's go-to producer DJ Paul Oakenfold.  In a return to his Calgary roots, Steven recently co-wrote songs with a leading artist from each province across Canada for his solo folk-pop acoustic album coming in 2013. His special performance at the Toronto Christmas Market will include original work as well as his interpretation of seasonal classics. Steven previously performed in Carnegie Hall, Toronto's Rogers Centre, national festivals and noted events.

Young Centre City Choir -  Enjoy classic Christmas carols sung in four-part harmony by the Young Centre’s non-auditioned community choir, led by John Millard, Gregory Oh,  Alex Samaras and Patricia O’Callaghan.

Aradia Ensemble Choir – performances of Traditional Christmas Carols, with the singers from Toronto’s leading Baroque Ensemble.
